Cruise to Mexi..Cali!

Yes. Thats right, MexiCali! haha We indeed SAW Mexico but unfortunatly did not set foot on it! A bitter sweet event that was. Thanks to the Swine Flu we were unable to take our Mexican Riviera cruise but did that spoil our trip? HECK NO! Being slightly relieved actually we cruised California and still had a blast! To make things even BETTER we got 50% off for our next cruise!! So not only did we have a blast going to Cali we get to plan another cruise when we thought this would be our last for a long while! At least as a BIG family like this one! This cruise consisted of my tribe - Me, Josh, Megan, Devon, Trinity and Hayden, we also had my Mom and Dad, brothers Joe and John, Grandma, Aunt Mary, Aunt Doreen, Uncle Scott and Juliet! It was so awesome!

SAN FRANCISCO!

The trip began in San Fransisco! After a 12 hour drive we arrived in San Fran where we would board the boat after a day of fun at Peir 39 (aquarium), Ripleys Believe it or not, and a tour of China Town!! This is where the battle was born between my brother John and I. Unsuspecting a thing John slips Soy Sauce in my soda and since the cokes costed $2 a can I took a healthy drink and OH MAN was it the nastiest thing I have ever drank!!! Oh YES the war had begun!!

LOS ANGELES

Then our First stop was L.A. Not sure why I cant find anymore pictures from this stop... it was still fun! Started with a VERY interesting cab ride. After about $100.00 worth of driving I get a call from my dad asking if my cab knew where the street was because my dads cab guy whom we were following told my dad he didnt know where the street was. Neither did my cab guy!! So we got off at Holywood Blvd to spare our wallets!! So rediculous! Then we took a train back to where we wanted to go!! Funny now but not so funny then! haha Eventually we got to where my mom planned! It was so cute!! We felt we were in Mexico because my moma found a little Mexican area, it had all the same shops and food areas! We ate some delicious Tacos and shopped shopped shopped!!

SANTA BARBARA

Our second stop was Santa Barbara where we got to see a little bit of the beach. We never really had much time at the ports because it was all last minute to plan anything. We ate some lunch at a yummy Brewer Co. and shopped! A memory sticks out in my mind this day when my mom yelled "DEL SOL SANTA BARBARA ROCK" to get me a free dolphin key chain! Thanks mommy!! I love it! hehe This day was the first nice and warm day!! It was really nice!

CATALINA ISLAND

This was one of the stops I had not ever been too! It was really fun! We went on a glass bottom boat ride where we sailed out and saw what it would be like if you were drugg face down by a boat with goggles on! haha just kidding! It was neat, we saw a ton of fish! Their was little tubes from the boat that we could put fish food down to create a frenzy of fish! Even tough we didnt get to see a ton of tropical sort of fish I still think it was neat to see them all freak out underneath us! After our boat tour we had lunch at a Mexican restaurant that also sold hot dogs! LOL Coyote dogs they were called and they were actually pretty good! The kids devoured them, they were wrapped in tortillas and fried! Who doesnt like anything fried!?!? Then, Im sure you can guess it.. we shopped!! :D

SAN DIEGO

SEA WORLD!!! Need I say more!? The picture will show how much fun we had! I LOVE SEA world!!

Part of me lives in Alaska

I am proud of myself for being a big girl but I must admit its mostly a show. :/ Keeps the kids and hubby happy but I do miss my mommy and daddy so very much. I have never been away from them like this ever really! Ya I made a bold and stupid teenager move when I was 18 to stay in cali whil emy parents moved to AZ. Lets see... how long did that last?? 3 months was it? Ya I got pregnant and made that excuse but if you would speak to my x, we fought daily because I wanted to be by them. My mom and dad have always been the biggest influence in my life! I believe that they did the most best job a parent can do in raising an overly emotional teenage girl and pretty normal boy. Hehe. Although is it normal that we have a picture of Joe wearing cowboy boots, a shirt but no pants pointing his rifle at us? Maybe not so normal.. hehe jk!

Even though for some strange reason I do not know why (blond perhaps) that I cant remember A LOT of my childhood I do remember the emotions and I always depended and counted on my parents. No matter how bad I would "F" up I knew I still would always have them. That they show me the same love that my heavenly father does. I believe that my parents will never leave me or forsake me. I dont have to give you the MANY times I KNOW I have hurt them and any other person would consider disowning me, but not my parents. They stuck with me, let me make all my own disicions but of course they always gave their insight! Which actually in the long run was exactly what I needed to hear. I may not have used it at the moment but it was definatly the tools that helped me when I was ready!

Thank you mommy and daddy for being so patient with me in my horrible teen and early 20's years! As they werent easy for me I KNOW they werent easy for you either! Thank you for putting your faith in me and waiting fo rme to blossom! I am so blessed and happy with my life now it seems like a fairy tale! Even more when we get orders to Alaska some day! But if for some crappy reson we dont, its just a few years and we will all be living by eachother again! Its not permanent! I love you guys!!
